Hello everyone,

I'm new here, and will probably post a few things from time to time.  I thought I'd toss this out there to get into the mix a bit.  I am still very closeted due to many professional and community issues were I live, but am hoping to start expanding my experiences soon.  Here is one way that has worked well for me to crossdress in plain sight.

I am a triathlete and so when I am in training mode (most of the year, honestly) I try to hit the pool at least twice a week.  Ever since the gym opened in my town a few years ago, I have always gone to swim laps in a women's one piece suit - not en femme, but as a man.  I'll put links to the suits I own and wear at the end of this post.  They are very practical and relatively "masculine(?)" for a women's one piece, but wearing them has been very successful for me.  Here are some details:

I usually go first thing in the morning, right when the gym opens.  This is for two reasons: I have to go that early so I have time to get ready for work and arrive on time, and if I don't get there early enough, I can't get a lane.  I wear my OPS under a tee shirt & really light jacket (if it is cold) and some nylon "trashbag" dance pants.  I have my cap, goggles, and spare towel (to roll my swimsuit in after my swim) in a small backpack, and make sure I am one of the first through the door when the gym opens.  I go straight to the pool, bypassing the locker room.  Pick my lane, take off the tee shirt & pants, put on the cap & goggles and jump in.  If I take time to go to the locker room, I often cannot get a lane to myself.  Not a big deal, but I'm selfish.

While swimming laps, I have never had a negative experience with other people.  I have received some double-takes, but those are usually followed up by either a nice smile or one of those "whatever" kind of looks, and that person goes back to whatever they were doing.  I have been complimented several times by women on my swimsuit, mostly saying "I like your suit!".  I've had conversations with all types of people who didn't make any indication they even noticed my suit (although it is impossible not to notice), including men and women of all ages. I had a long conversation one time with a lady about my age who was swimming in a trisuit, so we talked about triathlon and the various types of suits we like to swim in.  I've had a couple ladies comment that they think the suit looks good, and that more men should wear them.

... long post, so I'll put part 2 up in a minute...

What a wonderful post !   I wait in anticipation for part 2.

I too love women's OPS, however unlike you I don't swim.  I only buy racerback or fastback style OPS, as I find it helps keep the straps from slipping.
