After a lot of thinking, it decided that I would go to my works party as Cerys!
I chose to go smart sensible so as not to frightened too many of my colleagues 🙂
There is a photo of my outfit on my public photos.
I am pleased to report that all went well. My boss says she hated me for looking so good! Many came and said that I looked great and that they were happy for me and proud of me for showing them "the other me". One wanted to know where I got my skirt from. Another, where I got my boots.
I felt amazing. My confidence level was through the roof.
I had to walk a fair distance through the city centre on a Friday night. Cardiff is quite a party city, so a lot of drunk people on the way in, and a load more on the way out. Walking through the crowds was amazing. I go out in public most days, but never on a busy Friday night as Christmas party season is starting. This was amazing!
Again, confidence levels were through the roof.
The whole night was just brilliant. I thought that I looked great. Others thought that I looked great. I felt great!
I'm so happy that I decided that Cerys could have a night out.

@ellyd22 Ellie, thank you. I'm often out and about as Cerys, so being out in public is nothing new, but last night was special on very special. I've never had a negative reaction, but to get such positive vibes from the workforce and volunteers was a huge boost.
Yes, cloud nine, and no plans to get off for a while 🙂

What a great experience. I would say you are now able to be Cersy whenever you want now. Everyone has met you and accepted you for you.

@paulahere I have no intention of taking Cerys to work. A few knew of Cerys. Only one had met here previously, and he's a friend of 15 years or more. It does mean that if I decide to crimp my hair, or wear nails (not often as my wife doesn't like it), I don't have to worry about what they will say in work. There is no reaso why Cerys couldn't go to work, I just don't think it's the right thing to do. Never say never though 😉
