A River

This one’s a bit lighter

I looked into her eyes,

and saw my future.

Laid out before me like a river,

flowing deep and wide.

With a dark turbulence, an alluring danger.

Her gaze saw me as well, a gaze that laid bare my soul.

We were locked in a imagining, her gaze drawing me in. To the endless possibilities of things undiscovered, of places shared by no other.......than us.

Of long embraces and passionate love, spread out over a lifetime.

All this we shared, over perhaps a second or two. Or was it an eternity?

And so I fell into her waters to be swept away.

And became one...... with her.
