Hi Everyone ,
I’ve been thinking about something and would to know what other people think. My wife of eight years found out about my dressing approx six months ago which to my surprise was very excepting that I like to wear woman’s clothes. Since then I’ve been wearing panties more often at home on my days off but now I’ve been shaving my legs and trying to keep them silky smooth by using her epilator . My wife asked me if I was wanting to transition. I stated no and that I loved being a man but loved the feel of shaved legs and love wearing panties and women’s clothes. ( I consider myself as being Heterosexual with no desire to be with the same sex or becoming a woman.) She then said that the reason she ask was that I was going through a lot of pain with the epilator the first time and that I’m keeping them shaved and the hair may not grow back. She said, “are you ok with that ? ”. I said yes are you ? She said she didn’t mind but didn’t understand why I would want to keep them shaved all the time if I only fully dress once in a while. So this got me thinking/wondering , is the fact that I want to wear panties more on my days off and wanting to keep my legs shaved all the time a sign that I might be transitioning without fully realizing it or is it just the simple fact that I like to dress and keep my legs shaved because I like the feel. I want to think I’m not transitioning or ever wanting to transition but I never had this much open freedom before either. Let me know what you think.

lots of people both men and women keep their legs hair free it's a matter of preference, just like wearing panties or boxers or even a dress, truth be told it doesn't matter, if your not hurting anyone, or breaking any laws, screw it . if it makes you happy and your spouse does not mind then by all means do it. it seem different but so what, in time it just becomes the norm , and there is NO harm in that, it's just a choice you've made, nothing more. we all make our own choices and rules, if you are honest with yourself and others you will ALWAYS find the truth.... stay safe, be strong, and know you are in a safe place here at cdh. hope this helps Maddie
Hi Lynn,
I cannot really give you advice, other than to listen to your feelings. Like you I have no desire to transition. I feel good as a man with a strong feminine side. In order to feel balanced I dress up about once every other week, yet keep my legs shaved all the time. Liv is part of me whether I am dressed up or not and it just feels great to have smooth legs.
Love, Liv
I've been wearing pantyhose since I was 4. I began buying my own at 13. At 17 I began wearing them out openly with shorts at 17 at the urging of an ex girlfriend. The first time I wore pantyhose for he, she did not like the look of hair crushed underneath. She though it looked weird. She helped me shave the hair off.
Wearing pantyhose with hair free legs was wonderful. I loved it so much I haven't had hair on my legs since then. In fact when my legs are showing, I'm wearing pantyhose. I rarely go bare legged.
I love showing my legs in pantyhose and I can't see having hair on them. I have no interest in transitioning. I just love fem clothes.
.
I love to keep my legs and bikini area shaved so my panties look so natural and I'm thinking of laser hair removal from eyebrows to my toes for a feminine look
Having smooth legs is so important to me too and adore the feeling of tights and pantyhose. Have been hooked this way ever since my teen years now
Hi Lynn. I absolutely love Maddie's answer, and want to echo what she said. Don't worry so much about labels; labels are meant to divide us, after all. If you like shaving your legs, then shave your legs. They're your legs, so it really doesn't matter what anybody else thinks.
Also, it's worth giving a reminder: don't confuse gender and sexuality. I know women who have transitioned (MtF) who consider themselves lesbians. I know cross-dressers who consider themselves straight. And so on. Just because you like to wear panties and shave your legs doesn't mean you secretly want to transition to being a fulltime woman, nor does it mean you're straight, bi, gay, or whatever else. You decide what you are, not somebody else. Again, labels are meant to divide people into "us" and "then" categories. Don't worry about labels, have fun, enjoy exploring, and - always - stay safe.
It seems too many of us(myself included) are too concerned with societal norms. If you like to shave your legs and wear panties, go for it. I tried for the last 16 months at my wife's insistence, to stay away from this life. Can't do it, it's who I am. Now I realize that it's not, for me, just crossdressing. I believe it is time to fully embrace my feminity and live as a woman full time. I have a therapist and soon hope to be on HRT. Bless all of you on this site that are so accepting and non judgemental, I dont know you, but love you for who you are.
Terrieann - societal norms can be crushing, can't they? I currently shave my legs. Soon, though, as the warmer weather arrives I'll need to decide if I want to keep them bare or give in to society's expectations and let the hair grow back so that I have hairy legs when I wear shorts. When I started shaving my legs this past fall, I would've told you I'd let the hair start to grow back sometime in April or so. Now? I'm not so sure...
I just recently went hairless everywhere and thought I would grow the leg hair back for the summer, but I'm not so sure now. As I get older I'm starting to care less and less about what others think. I'm leaning towards staying smooth, unless my wife feels strongly the other way. I want to be smooth, but am willing to compromise to keep the peace.
I always dismissed the idea of transitioning, but sometimes I wonder about it too. I really like who I am when I can be Jennifer.
thank you for your response. when I started shaving my legs, I worried about being "outed", but found that most people don't notice how hairy one's legs are (or not). I guess the alternative is to wear opaque hosiery when "en femme". societal norms are frustrating, why should we as a community be subjected to ridicule and violence because we like some beauty in our drab existences. I love my feminine side, more than the butch creep I seem to be when not dressed properly.
I am always smooth. My legs have been hairless for so long that I am not conscious of anyone noticing. I wear shorts in good weather, and like to get a good suntan on my shaved legs.
Thanks Maddie, I really appreciate your input on this. Lynn
Thanks Rose, all of you here are awesome and your right, Labels are meant to divide us. I just like the feel of shaved legs. Lynn
Hi Liv,
Thank you for your response. I really like your answer and I agree, I love the feel of shaved legs. Lynn
