(what services you experienced). If not what services what would you like to try? and did you arrive at the salon en femme or in drab?
My answer - I have never been to a true beauty salon type place(only unisex hair cutting places) nor experienced any feminine spa/salon services. I would love to try it one day and enjoy being pampered in a full spa/salon day with mud bath, facial, full body waxing (might even try Brazilian!), makeover, mani-pedi with nail polish and feminine hair cut and style. Btu I’m not sure if I have the courage to try that yet and can’t do anything too permanent since I still have to present in male mode most of the time(sigh..)..but maybe the mani-pedi is a possibility and maybe even a little nail polish!
How about you-any brave souls out there tried this?
I've had my eyebrows waxed pedicure and manicures. My girlfriend also did my makeup where she works after hours.
Went a couple weeks ago to where the wife goes to get a dye job wanted to much more a hair cut in a unisex way flip it this way for holly comb it here for you know him had to behave it's her place and there local friends not ready for the public to see Holly plan on finding my own place Hollyh
I do all my mani's myself, or the wife does them for me. Been to a salon for a pedi with color a few times and loved the experience. Did get a few "looks", especially nervous one's from a few young males that were there reluctantly with their gf's.
Since I'm not really a secret at all anymore, I go to the 2 hour classes at the local Sephora and will also indulge in their mini makeovers now and then.
Any yes - all the above in "boy mode".
I go every 2 weeks to get a pedicure and my nails done - clear gel and subtle something on the 2 little fingers, and a pedicure every 4 weeks and get my nails done. Facial about every 2 months or so. Maybe once every 5 years to get my hair cut.
Wow! I feel like a hermit after reading about all you ladies venturing out...I'm considering getting a pedicure at some point-MAYBE with a little color polish..if can get up the nerve!
No, never being in one, i do almost by myself, hope one day i can do that, what i´m trying now it´s laser depi
I often go together with my wife to a Salon to have our hair styled and cut . My wife Shelley , when after our wedding she encouraged me to go femme . At first it was rather metrosexual , in that I would go to a nail salon to have my toenails and nails done in French Nails . No one even cared at the salon , not a single odd look . I really loved how pretty my nails looked AND I STOPPED BITING OR CHEWING THEM . I now wear Fench Nails or Lilac a lot , or Pink or Red for special occasions . After my wife started buying me women's pants and shirts and tops , I got use to becoming more femme . As a child raise by my Grandmother , I had real long hair but cut it short when I was in elementary school to keep from being confused as a girl . My wife encouraged me to grow it long and I did sort of in a male type ponytail . When I went to a Salon to have my hair styled in a long page boy that had a body wave at the bottom , I was really nervous . My wife told the stylist ( who thought I was a lady ) that I was going femme and also to style my eyebrows or arch them . The stylist really seemed to enjoy her work , and later we went to a makeup artist who gave me a pretty natural look with light pink lipgloss . Totally new to me I ask the stylist if she ever had done this for others wanting to be femme . She laughed and said really quire often , but no one so naturally femme with a baby face like mine . I ask her if other salons did and she said it was quite common at Halloween or for parties during the Holiday Seasons . I was amazed when I looked in the mirror afters , I loved how I looked , hair and makeup can do magic . Everyone said I looked like a doll or very cute . The most amazing thing was looking in a full length mirror , I did not feel they had created an illusion . I felt it was really me .
Yes, several times. My first experience was at a crossdresser transformation service, but after that I got the guts to call up regular salons and ask if they would be comfortable helping a someone who identified as transgender/crossdresser with makeup or a wig trim. Seeing the kindness, compassion, and artistry of these complete strangers really gave me confidence that most Americans are accepting and rooting for us. My tip: go with confidence but be honest and humble. I would always admit to the salon professional that I am nervous but needing to do this for self discovery reasons, and they were always so caring and thoughtful.
Yes,my wife and I go together to get our nails done.Great experience and we get great responses. They say it is cool and there are a couple there, names are April and Hannah that say they love doing my nails. They are the only two that do this for me taking turns.Make up is at the same place I get my nails done, the make up artist there also helps me with make up tips showing me how to do it right and loves working with the crossdressing and transgendered community.
Wish you and your family lived in VA near me. I'd love to have you girls as friends and neighbors!
Cynthia
I have never done it but I would like to. When I crossdressed in my 20's my gay freind used to do my makeup - now that I have returned to crossdressing I am on my own and I am not very good at makeup.
I have been checking out the transformation services around and one day soon I will go for it - as much to learn from the expert as to have the experience
Only transformation services for makeup so far, but for manicures and pedicures both with my wife and sometimes by myself. It's an indulgence, but a fun one, and nobody has ever responded negatively to my requests to have my nails and toes polished as well as trimmed.
I go, as a guy, to get my ears waxed. Nothing makes me feel younger than not having hairy ears.
I may have to try that Rguer! I hate the hair on my ears as well! Whose idea was it to have the ear hair on guys grow more as they age? 🙂
