Have you read any Crosserdresser / rransgender books? What was your favorite and why?
My favorite was probably "She's not the girl I married" by Helen Boyd. Unlike most books I've read that are mostly from the CrossDressers perspective this book looks at both sides and the effects on each. Good read with some good insights.
Let us know your favorite and why.

That is a good book - Like you said, it tells from both sides.
Another one is Miss Vera's School for CD. It gives a baseline for learning how to dress/pass.
Finding the Real Me is a good self exploration of one's sexuality.
I enjoyed Alice in Genderland. I could relate to much of the story minus taking on a boyfriend.
The most interesting book and news is about a book called BECOMING NICOLE abou Nicole Maimes who was born as identical twins ! The information I read said that our gender is decided early , what sex organs we are born with early i.e. Male or Female . A little later the hormones we get determine our sexual identity . Nicole knew right away by three that he ( she ) was a girl . Since they were identical, twins , this confirms the science that the hormones that effect gender identity after the sexual organs are formed are totally different . The videos and new about the family is lovely . Nicole and her brother are incredible , and she won a 75 million lawsuit against discrimination ! Please google Nicole Maines , and Becoming Nicole . Nicole is gorgeous , really beautiful , her brother is incredible and her family is SO PERFECT .
Thanks KAryn-I'll have to look that one p. The other three were ALL very good! I have done a LOT of reading about both transsexualism and crossdressing. Two authors I like who write fiction but get a lot of good themes and messages out with their work are KArin Bishop and KAtie Leone--can find both on Amazon kindle site. I have not read anything of theirs that I dd not both like and enjoy reading and also got a better understanding of gender issues and how societ treats those who don't fit ito the standard two gender boxes.
Thanks for the reading list everyone, it should keep me busy for a while.
I've just finished a great read, it 'The New Woman' by Charity Norman. It is fiction but based on her experience working on a Samaritans helpline which lead to her research into the TG/CD scene so it has plenty in it that rung true to me.
Enjoy. xx
I've read some of these and some I have not. Keep them coming. I enjoy reading on the subject and hope others will find some books that they too will enjoy or gain some perspective or insights
BTW- Some of these titles are available in kindle format as well as paperback

The first book I ever read on the subject was a text book called Sex Change and Dress Deviation. It was the first thing that told me I was not the only cross dresser in the world when I was about 19 years old. Long before the internet.
Another was April Ashley's Odyssey and recently I read A Fellow no more by Traci Fellows.
