Hello, I am Roxandra Fox from Perth, Western Australia.

I am a mature pre-op transgender who has been cross-dressing and living as a woman whenever possible for over 50 years. Marriage and family preclude full transition for the time being at least but i am managing to be female most of the time.
I first realised i was different when playing dress-up with an elder female cousin at the age of 10. There followed many years of angst, cross-dressing in secret and trying to discover more about why i needed to do so. I always felt that it was just a phase i was going through and that the need to be female would disappear when i married and had a regular sexual partner. I could not have been more wrong. With the arrival of the internet and the opportunity to learn more about gender dysphoria, i came to realise my condition was shared by many and finally went to see a sexual therapist and psychiatrist to discover for certain that i was transgender and that i should transition. i am now on a knife edge unsure of whether to transition or not with so much depending upon how my family will react.
