I am Jacinta,

I have recently come out to my family, and a week later to work, that I'm a transgender woman.

My basic story is, through my life Ive had the urge to crossdress, and only indulged in the minimal.

I wore undergarments, and stocking even during the days.  This continued through my marriage.

I was isolated, alone and getting depressed.  Eventually I ended up in a state the something needed to change or life probably wouldnt go on.

I came out to my wife of 20 years, and she was wonderful.  Completely supporting and carring.  Still wants to make a life with me, regardless of how the rest of the world may see us.  And my kids where fully accepting as well, and this allowed me to accept and eventually help my eldest son, who had come out to us about a year before, just before heading of to University.

The day I came out, my daughter and her friend took me shopping with them, and we came home with a small wardrobe, and I been living en femme since then at home.

Over the next week or two, having to go back into male to go to work got to be very hard, and very depressing to me.  So much so it was making me ill, so I made the decision to come out at work, and live full time as a women.

That day had me full of dread, not knowing what would happen.  I really didnt want to change my job, although a friend who already knew, had offer me one if I needed it.

Anyway, works was awesome.  Nothing negative, just comments on how brave I was etc to show my true self and live it.

I know from many friends that Ive had a easy and been accepted..  And I feel for all of you who have to battle every day to be what you want to be.

Im on the waiting list here to see a specialist to start HRT in about 5-7 weeks now.

I also made the decision to be out there, and be honest with everyone about who I am.  So I have posted openly about my journey in facebook post, and have answered any question from people I interact with openly and honestly.

I hope to make some friends here, as I am still fairly alone here as far as people who understand what Im going through, although I do have a strong and supporting group of friends and family behind me.

Anyway thats me for now..

Jacinta
