Hello, im awed to belong to this community of special people. Im Roberta, a 57 yo trans person living in New Zealand. Not married but in a relationship. I dont get very many oppotunities to let my true self out as i live in a small town, work in another small town, and sadly my partner of 11 years is not supportive at all. The fact that I am trans eventualy caused my first marriage to end, at that stage I was so in denial that I thought that I could live my life in the male role, but it never goes away, my need to transition gets stronger by the day, and recent events like Caitlan Jenner just serve to make it even harder to stay as I am. My first memory of not being all boy was when I was about 4 or 5 and I found my stepmothers heels, I couldnt resist the urge to walk around in them, then when I was 8 or so we had a room where I had my toys among other things, and there was a box with a lot of my stepmoms old clothes, well you know the rest, she was much bigger than me, but her sockings felt heavenly on my legs, as I got older I often would wait until I was left alone, the best time was the year that she and I were the same size, I would dress up and there I was, the woman I wished I could be. Except that back then I didnt know how that could be possible.

Hiya Roberta, from the hot/humid lovely South Texas area of the good 'ol US of A! I can relate to your situation, one I was in myself some time back. As one who has taken the step to full time womanhood I'll share this......when it's so great of a need to you, when the pressure of living two lives, one of them probably in secret, when it gets so bad and screwed up in your head that you think you're gonna burst......that's the time you'll know you've reached the proverbial point of no return. It's probably not gonna go away-no matter what you do or think....it'll return, in a stronger force. See a qualified therapist or counselor, talk to others "who get it"......then it'll be the time for you to make the leap into full time transition. My 2 cents worth, you can keep the change hun.
