Hi Jade and welcome!  So wonderful to read that your wife is so accepting and supportive.  Consider yourself one lucky gal to have her in your life, that's a truly special lady!

Ups and downs are completely normal in a relationship after we come out to our partners, it happens more often than not.  From the sound of it, you two are on a great path toward making this a part of your lives together, which is absolutely wonderful!

You are doing the exact right thing taking things at a speed which she is comfortable with, continue to respect her needs and continue to be completely open and honest with her and I am confident that things will only continue to develop wonderfully in the future.  One thing we have to remind ourselves is that we have had our entire lives to understand this side of us, for our partners they are just getting the news and we have to allow time for them to understand that this is a huge part of who we are and why we need to be able to share it with them.

So happy for you Jade, and glad you've joined up and are here with us!

Hi

I am Jade and am just loving being part of this fantastic group. It is wonderful to see that everyone is so supportive , caring and friendly. There are so many great informative and inspiring articles here that I am really enjoying. Thanks so much.

8 weeks ago I made a life changing decision and finally told my wife of 35 years about Jade. It was a total shock that left her feeling numbed, betrayed and angry.

But she is showing herself to the truely amazing person I married, as she is working her way through this mind field of emotions confusion and doubts that I dumped on her lap. We got angry with each other, we had periods of deafened silence and made threats that we soon wished we never said. In the end we started to talk, with me sharing my story of Jade,and my wife listening asking questions and expressing her fears and concerns.

So 8 weeks later……… she realizes that Jade is a part of me and is what makes me who I am. Jade is part of the Ying and Yang of who I am. My clothes are out of hiding and are all washed and hanging up in the wardrobe. my wife also feels that I should start getting new clothes, as She said, She wants me to wear clothes that I She has sorted out my makeup and given me a selection of her own for me to use. At this stage she does not want to meet Jade. She only wants me to be Jade at home, and to dress in the lower half of the house, while she does her craft in her area. Eventually she will want to meet Jade, but at this stage it is little steps.

I do realize how lucky I am to be married to such an amazing woman.

Now I feeling good about who I am. A weight has been lifted off me but I am mindful by doing this I have added a burden onto my wife. So we are taking small steps together. For me I am looking forward to a positive future.
