• Welcome to CDH. You've come to the right place. All I will say, from my experience, you should be honest and open and talk, talk, talk to your wife about your dressing, how it makes you feel etc and at the same time, listen carefully to what she has to say. I can't stress how important this is. I came out to my partner in May this year after realising and accepting I am who I am, and Ive never been happier than I am right now. My partner is fine with me being dressed in front of her (although it took time to get to that stage) and I go once a month to a local event to socialise with other T-girls. I hope everything goes well for you in your journey.

Thank you Amanda and eveyone else. We are talking and have progressed from where she wouldn't even discuss it to now where we are having discussions. I am also trying to make contact with a local group here in the Seattle area.

HI Allison, and welcome to CDH. Amanda gave some great advice. The only thing I'll add to what she had to say is to also give your wife time. You've had, effectively, your whole life to come to terms with your reality. Your wife sounds awesome, and I'm sure if you give her some time coupled with the honest communication Amanda suggests, you'll continue to have a wonderful, deep, loving relationship together.

I have been crossdressing for many years and have gone through multiple purge cycles but I have finally decided that I need to know my femme side. I just named myself last week and still getting used that. I am married with 2 wonderfully children who are away at college and grad school. Years ago I told but wife but she thought it had gone away after one of the purges and from then on I kept it hidden until a few months ago. We are trying to work thorough it but she is not ready to see me dress but we can talk about the dressing. I am so happy to find this site and I look forward to making connections with the wonderful Ladies on the site.
