Here is an interesting article "In the Early 20th Century, America Was Awash in Incredible Queer Nightlife" that passed through my pages on Facebook.
I had known that crossdressers have been around for years and we as a society are nothing new nor an anomaly, however never realized the numbers and that there was a time in America where we were socially accepted. We could freely (well depending on your social status) express ourselves in public.
