I know some of you girls are out, some are out within the confines of the 4 walls, and some of you are closeted. I am so far out that I don't know where the closet is, unless we are talking about my shoes. I pray that all of you can experience a night like I just did.
I made plans about 3 weeks ago to go out dancing at a local LGBT pub in AC. My friend, (The "L" that was hitting on me a few months back at this same pub) picked me up around 7:30pm. As me, I of course mean Jessica. I was fully dressed in a tight gray skirt, a red shimmery Christmasy looking top, with a green scarf, black tights, and black pumps 3" heel. We drove down to the city, half hour ride, chatting away in her car like 2 school girls.
We arrive, its a place we go to often, and the door security says hello Celeste & DD! Now, at best I'm a "C" and gave that confused look of with? Joanna R, you're safe, in this case dD was designated driver(green wrist band).
we danced & we sang and they had libations, me diet Pepsi, but I haven't had so much fun in my life. I did wind up getting down to my stockings for the dancing. My body will remind me later that I'm no longer a teen, but I would not change one part of the evening.
Go out like you know you're the prettiest girl in the room, and you will be!

Sounds like a fun night. I've never been much of a dancer, though I did learn ballroom dancing when I was young. I was peeved I had to wear pants and a jacket though.
You demonstrate the message I try to put out there - that the 'big, bad world' isn't as bad as we think sometimes. It's not all roses and honey but heck, it's a lot better than some of us dare to hope.
(I did jump to the wrong conclusion about "DD" as well 😉 )

You inspire me. One day-hopefully not too far in the guture,Cynthia will make it out into the world (outside of the car!). Just likely will need to have some liquid courage and a good friend there to encourage and support! and maybe some practice within the confines of he house with that friend first.
