Lipstick Question

Oh gosh hon, I'm probably the worst person to answer this, I tend to go for natural lip shimmer's like Burt's Bees.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Lipstick is great. But it is messy. I switched to a lip stain applies 2 x and topped with a lip balm. The lip balm will help ot set without a lot of smudging.

Will last for a few hours to overnight depending how often it is touched up. Just like lipstick - need to see what works best for you.

Thank you Vanessa! I tried Burt's Bees lip shimmer; and it does leave less of a smudge after application.

I like Color Sensational and Revlon Just Bitten (without the secondary lip balm - a little thin for me).
Use a lip balm that works for you without being too waxy

Ahh, yes - it's definitely more of a natural look but don't touch than kiss proof.

Careful with lip stain unless you present as female full time. Some of that stuff does NOT come off easily. I once made the mistake of buying some and had to call in sick for work the next day because my lips were stained bright red no matter what make up remover I tried (I overdrew my lips so it was even worse).

I usually go for a more natural look with a close-to-nude shade of lip liner crayon and lip gloss.

Thank you for this valuable advice! I once made the mistake of wearing clear fingernail polish, thinking that no one would notice the clear (but a bit shiny) color. While no one said anything to me the next day at work, I know that at least a couple of women noticed as they gave me very questioning stares!

I know what you mean about stains! I bought this amazing lip pencil/crayon color but it was the first time using one. I tried it in the middle of the day just to see, loved it, and washed it off. No big deal. The next morning I had some down time before work and decided to see it with an outfit. Well I loved the look but after having it on for much longer, it was WAY harder to get off!! Now I know!

When , my wife first started me thinking about lipstick I was afraid to wear it because I was still wearing guys clothes . A first she would put lip gloss on that was clear . OMG I just loved how it felt . I let her treat at the spa and had my nails and toenails done in French Nails . Soon after that she would mix a little pink in with my lip gloss . That was when it is obvious to everyone but me that I was becoming a lady . Soon after I stated wearing natural makeup including eyeshadow and mascara , my wife's friend Gale began giving me her tops and pants and belts and I stated wearing my wife's flats . That is when my wife stated blending different shades of red lipsticks . I feel in love with what I saw in the mirror . My whole personality changed when I started wearing red glossy lipsticks which was the only makeup I put on myself . When my gave me my first purse to wear , the one item I loved was the compact . I was always taking it out to check my lipstick . I was so crazy that I loved guys commenting in public when they saw me putting on or refreshing my lipstick . I began to feel like lipstick was the magic wand that change me ! Now , I realize that was just a fantasy and I wear many clothes now mainly to compliment what I am wearing and what type of light I will be in . I feel lipstick is the most fun and should be enjoyed .

im just starting out but ive found lip gloss is a very good start i use nivea with rose extract it feels so good 🙂 but i have seen smudge proof lipstick will post nam of it when i see it next

NYC is a good inexpensive ($2-5) brand of lipstick and lip gloss to play around with different colors to see what you like and what looks good on you. I just got 10-15 different shades to experiment with!
