I've had a rough week at work so far. Not terrible, by any stretch, but I've had to be in 2 hours early every day for long, boring meetings with colleagues who are in a timezone 7 hours away. (In today's case, for example, "long" means from 7am until 2:15pm with a 30 minute break for lunch.)
I came home last night to find a little present from my wife. She was at the mall for some reason or another, and decided to stop in Claire's to pick up some things for me. So now I have 6 new pair of earrings, a new necklace, and a new bracelet. The earrings are three different sizes of faux pearls and three different sizes of faux diamonds. They're wonderful. The necklace is delicate looking set of three silver chains. Beautiful. The bracelet is something I probably wouldn't have picked on my own, but I'll most certainly wear it simply because she bought it for me.
This present was for no reason other than she walked past Claire's and remembered I wanted to get more jewelry of my own, rather than having to continue to borrow hers. For those who have significant others, family, or friends who know what sort of little presents have you been surprised with? Not necessarily birthday or Christmas - though those are certainly worth sharing, too. What sort of little things have you received?
Yes, Rose, it is very special when we receive pretty accessories from our wives or SO's. Your wife is very special because of the presents she provides. My wife and I have gone shopping together, me in drab, but she has picked-out a very pretty blouse, a cute skirt and two pairs of shoes and has brought home three sets of earrings. It is a very girly feeling to receive pretty things. Thanks for sharing your story with us.
It's great you have such love and support in your life.
Rose,
The greatest present I've received is the support that my Girlfriend gives me. We both will purchase items for each other on a whim, impulse buys are the correct term. recently, we were both out seperately, we purchased an almost identical Hannah hat for each other, complete with rosette and bow.
It's so nice to read of others being supported by there so.
Cookie 😆
When I first told my wife after 35 years of marriage and a lot of soul searching she amazed me by going to one of her drawers and taking out some unused stocking the she bought by accident but we're too big for her and gave them to me.
She still struggling a bit so I'm being very carefully but I so want to go shopping with her in the January sales just for female clothes. Just can't find the right time to ask.
