I've promised myself to be more open about crossdressing. I intend to dress more often, go outside the home more often, and interact with more people. Heretofore I have avoided interaction and certainly avoided situations where I would likely run into someone I know. Well, this AM I was fully dressed with hair and makeup when I heard the doorbell. Considering the season I figured it was a mail delivery person of some kind so I opened the door knowing full well that they had dropped a package and skedaddled. To my surprise there stood the lawn service guy. Too late to turn back now!!! So I stepped outside and chatted with him for a little while discussing what it was he needed to do. He didn't seem surprised or shocked. He didn't laugh nor gawk (although I did catching looking at my legs). We finished our chat with season's greetings and he went about his business. WOW!!! My adrenaline was going 90 to nothing, but what a great experience.

That is such wonderful news, the first step is the hardest. I've been going out for about 2 yrs now and so completely enjoy myself. I've been to the malls, stores, dinning, casino and anything else I can think of. I so love it, 2016 is the year of Dayle. Rock on girl

I have taken baby steps. Initially, I told my female friend whom I have met 7 months ago then a week and a half ago I told my therapist about Kelci. I plan on going to TG/CD friendly club in the very near future and I have not ruled out getting a makeover at Sephora, Ulta, Macy's etc. I still have no immediate plans of coming out to my family members or close friends. The best of wishes to you Dayle and I admire your courage to move forward with what seems like little trepidation.

What can I say? Such a great story and it emphasizes just how exaggerated our expectations of peoples reactions often are.
It is true that most people we come across are either accepting or too well mannered to make an issue of our appearance.
