REMEMBER

As you journey through your life spans

and you think I am not there

Feel and you will see me

look and let my visage

brush across your cheek

Let my whisper of comfort

nourish your body

let my word of truth

sustain your soul

let my song of sorrow

bring wisdom to your soul

I am forever with you

through all eternity

May your path go ever upward

should you perceive me not

That we may one day be reunited

and forgetfulness fade away

For in forgetfulness we find lessons

to be learned afresh once more

lessons of kindness

of what we’re meant to do

These lessons shimmer with our memories

luminous in the darkness

that has become our lives

Let the veil be lifted

so we may see ourselves clearly

and remember where we came from

and remember where we’re bound

For when we fully remember

we then are homeward drawn

multitudes await us there

and many more will come
