Some places and activities require one to show there ID - buying alcohol in some stores, the bank, military bases...., So what happens if the picture on the ID doesn't match the holder? (at least I hope I don't look like my drivers license picture when I am all made up). Has anyone had any experience like this? I am considering going to the bank and to the local military base en femme and am curious how I will be received.
I borrowed an idea someone else had about this very issue and created my own Transgender ID Card in a 'business card format'.
TOP Centered it says: TRANSGENDER ID CARD - VALID ONLY WITH
STATE ISSUED PHOTO ID OR DRIVER LICENSE.
(STATE should have been GOVERNMENT to allow passport)
Next I have two photos - one on the left being him and the one on the right being her. First name printed under each picture.
Centered between the two pictures - my address as listed on my id.
I never had any trouble with this card. When I flew to Canada to go on an Alaska cruise in 2013, this card validated my Passport. My license already had HER photo with HIS info. My Passport was all HIM.
Rosalily,
Great idea. I'm sure there's a market for creating these cards for many of us.
