Yesterday, for the first time, I was able to sit and talk with some of my family about who I am. There were some time restrictions so we were not able to cover many of the things I'd like to talk about or that I know they'd like to ask but we did cover a lot.

It was good to be able to make jokes as we talked because that lightened the mood and made us all more comfortable, and let's face it, one can't help but laugh when you consider the pure simple realities of trying to walk across a soft, wet grassy area in heels. The most important thing about our conversation is that there was a genuine desire to understand on their part and for my part I felt total love and support.

Once I built a bridge ( https://www.crossdresserheaven.com/forums/topic/bridges/) and yesterday I think we all crossed it together.

I really love your analogy at the end about the bridge.

As my cousin would say, way cool. Good for you. Sounds like a nice family. We should all be so fortunate.
