The day dawns, yet the sun shines not bright
For there’s coldness that envelops my heart.
I must rise, face the day, not an easy fight
Yet I know within that I must.
What drains me so? Is it pain in its might,
Or perhaps just the perception of loss?
There’s a need that I see, to help set things right
But the path before me is untrod.
JAne,
An excellent poem as always. The uncertainty always tends to make us uncomfortable (to me as much as anyone) and also the daunting feeling of breaking a new path through deep snow. Like you I long to help people in similar situations to me or with similar feelings, and in fact I feel like I was brought to this site for a reason-to serve others and in serving the my own path may be revealed to me over time. Thank ou for such a though provoking poem!
Luv,
Cyn
