I know the color of your hair (real or fake) should compliment your skin tone and body, but has anyone tried a wig color that is not natural?
And how did it work out?
Yes, i did. i tried a very black wig which never even went near my complexion and i thought it looked so obvious that it was a wig but i braved it in public for 3 days in a row while on a tourist package. To my surprise, no one commented adversely and i passed as a woman the entire time and was even hit upon by a guy on the same tourist package. Nevertheless, i have to say that i never really felt happy and confident and have not worn the wig since.
With Roxandra, went dark black.....nope, went not quite bleach blonde.....OMG NO!!!! Gonna stick with Auburn Brown on the next one.
I have several wigs, some of which are "fun" that I would only wear to an LBGTQ place, My standby "pass" wig has streaks in it and it the colour of my natural hair.
I generally stick to my natural colour, dirty blonde and the last wig I bought actually has a touch of grey in it as I am getting a little older, but occasionally like to do a red head.I have a nice auburn red wig,not a carrot top and I use a lighter foundation to lighten up my complexion.I also use a touch of red hair dye on my eyebrows to finish it off. Then it's definitely a black leather skirt, stockings and stilletos night for sure.Lets just say I've had considerable success with this look.LOL Heather.
