Cynthia suggested that I post this question in the forums so here is my question . Would you tell your best buddy ( guy friend ) that you are a cross dresser , and do you think it would change your relationship with him ?
Sadly no I would not tell my best male friends because I fear it would change the relationship. The only people in my "male life" that know are my wife and my therapist. Of course I have gone out to boutiques that sell to the trans community, there are a couple of old girlfriends from before I was married and a long time ago I used to go to gay bars en femme - but those contacts are separate from the rest of my current life.
Maybe someday...............
When I was about to start transitioning, back in 1995, I did tell some friends, and it did change the friendships.
It didn't stop them, but it did change things.
I've come close a couple of times recently-one is a good friend that goes t o football games with me-the other is my nephew in law. I also know the friends's girlfriend and of course my niece:). I 'm pretty sure both couples would be accepting but there is that slight chance that i've guessed wrong and that's holding me back so far 'cause you can't unring that bell, right now only my therapist and you ladies here know of my gender confusion...
I went back to my Home town Class Reunion party at a hotel totally in femme with my wife . I was was wearing a black velvet cocktail dress that was well above the knees and had a plunging bodice to show my breast . I was terrified but my wife insisted I go ! Many ok everyone was shocked . Some of the f my girlfriends were totally amazed and said I look gorgeous . Off course the ladies were courtiers about my 34B breast and keep staring .
OMG ,, after dancing and a few drinks , my old girlfriend keep wanting to feel them , it was really cute . Two guys that knew me were making jokes about me . I tried to talk to them , but their wives were really jealous that I was so much more beautiful than they were . Insane one of them tried to unzip the back of my dress , and the other was drunk and pull the front of my cocktail dress down when the back was partially unzipped . Fortunately not hardly anyone saw , but they gasp when they saw they ( my Breast ) were all real . Luckily an old friend a guy quickly pushed them away and I recovered . Of ,course I was the center of attention and overhead many comments on how glamourous and mlooked . Everyone assume I had a sex change , so I just went along with it as I did not want to explain .

I have two best friends that are guys, one would not even know what crossdresssing is and the other, I am not sure how he would act. He and his wife dress for RenFest but that is in gender consistent garb. Sort of part 3 of what do I do and where do I go next.
i thought about this just the other day while i was cleaning my shop to hold a party for him and his wife for their anniversary we have been best friends since we were kids were best man at each others weddings our kids call each other aunt and uncle I feel he would accept it but would have to tell his wife and then it would just go viral from there .so as much as i would like to could never do it .
Yeah that is what has stopped me form telling my niece and her husband-not sure she'd be able to NOT tell her mom or aunts -my sisters-.. and the rest of the nieces/nephews. Then oi'd be out to all and just not ready at least not yet!
I came out to a very good friend after my divorce. He was at the house, and I had one of those electric picture frames that play a slide show. Inadvertantly I put a sd card in that was half Jessica. As the pictures were rotating through, I saw him looking intently at the young lady ....he looked at me and just said wow.
We discussed it, he was actually ok with it. Still hang together to this day.
