My this was when i started my quest as a CD, I was at Uni and one day i was having a look around the shops when in a charity shop I saw it - the most stunning dress I have ever seen, it was knee length, dark blue with some gold design on it, i had to get it (no matter what the size was) I needed it then and there! so I purchased it! At £2.75 (about $4 or so) it was hanging up in my wardrobe as quick as a flash!!
granted it was 3 sizes too small, but with some breathing in, wiggling swearing and twisting into various positions I managed to do it up and not burst out!! so i pranced around my student room admiring myself and feeling pretty good about it as well!! so that is MY story, lets hear what you girls have to say!

My best purchase is a very hard thing to answer, as I fall head over heels in love with just about everything I've ever purchased. My current favourite is, a beige mid thigh body hugging silk dress, (Removed the installed shoulder pads, as I don't need them) a pair of black 4" pumps That i wear with this dress sets them off tremendously, If i revisited this post next week, I am quite sur I will have a differemt answer.
