Hey, prob a pretty silly question but can any of you girls recommend a good skincare routine? Im really looking to soften my skin.
@crazycynthia mine is as follows each morning:
1. wet shave
2. use exfoliating face scrub in the shower
3. moisturise

I also use an exfoliating face scrub every day, followed by an electric razor once dry, then followed by a zero-alcohol post-shave moisturising face balm for sensitive skin. This acts as a good primer for makeup, too.
Body-wise, the same applies really - exfoliate, then moisturise. 2-3 times a week works well, with a 48- or 72-hour moisturiser.
@finallyfiona I always use Nivea for Men face scrub before shaving (I shave most days even in male mode) and then Nivea for men moisturiser post shaving. I use these as Nivea make products for sensitive skin which I have, The moisturiser also makes a good make up remover as well.
@lizzy89 My body moisturiser and post-shave balm are Nivea and Nivea for Men 🙂 I hadn't thought of it as a make-up remover though. Face scrub seems to do a pretty good job of that for me.
Skin care, hmm.
Normally, it's a day cream if I'm not going out and, if I remember, a night cream. In truth, neither of these things are going to do much for me at my age, that ship has sailed. My skin care is mostly done when I'm going out—shaving, primer, foundation, you know, all that stuff.
As an aside, I might say that most of the time I'm on CDH, I just think of being Becca and talking to girls but every now and again—and it can't be helped—posts like the above bring me back to Earth with a bump, when things like shaving, Nivea for Men and electric razors get mentioned. It reminds me that beneath this forum, underneath my clothes, my perfume and my jewellery, my shopping trips, my 'hair'—I'm an old man. It's quite depressing really...:(
...but not for long; now it's back to looking at 'going out' success stories.
