Hi Annabeth, I was happy to read your SO is open and allows you to dress. You mentioned she sensed a feminine side of you. Very perceptive! Hey, here's a crazy girl idea, what if you got Annabeth her own e-mail and wrote to SO? I mean as Annabeth, write in a feminine tone about stuff and about yourself? Give her a chance to become familiar and know Annabeth as another woman? Maybe write in colors ........long hand script........so it looks....girlie or femme..................write about .....what women like to talk about .........maybe ask for advice about .........fashion .....make -up .............you know what I mean? The idea is to get her to see you as Annabeth, and not that guy that likes to dress up as Annabeth. Sounds strange huh? I have my e-mail and another one for karley. I send short sweet notes to her ............she sends notes to me............I try to write in a femme tone to my male side. Please drop me a line if you would like more explanation. It is wonderful that you were able to have that conversation with her. Now you know what her feelings are. I think it was mentioned before - take her shopping at a thrift store. I have done it with my wife. They are great places to find outfits that are inexpensive. There is a wide selection available. It will give you a chance to let her help you understand what she thinks is appropriate for you to wear when she is present. Ask her to help you take your measurements beforehand and help with sizing before you go. As an aside - my wife and I go for mani-pedi's every couple months. My wife suggested it the first time we went. I got clear polish that time. The tech asked if I wanted color and I jokingly said black (it was Halloween time) but told him clear. When we got in the car my wife said I could have gotten color if I wanted, he next time we went she told me I could get color if I wanted so I chose a red for my toes. If I must say so myself they looked cute and my wife thought so too. It makes for a fun day out. There are many men that go to nail salons.

Hi, Suzanne, I agree with you regarding thrift stores, or charity shops on this side of the pond. My wife and I always like to visit these whenever we're out for the day. Granted, we might visit a few without seeing anything we like but, on occasion, there are some great bargains to be had. She picked out a gorgeous black Quiz dress in one shop, if it had been worn at all, it must only have been once or twice. I paid £10 and when we came home, looked online. Didn't see exactly the same one but there was a very similar dress at £79!
Re nail varnish, I currently have mine shiny gold. I trim, file and paint them myself.
@alexina great deal on the dress - that is wonderful that you do your own nails and the color sounds very pretty - a day of pampering is fun though - my wife and I are planning on having a spa day soon (massages)

Excellent, Suzanne, I'm all for pampering! My wife likes to go for a flotation chamber session a couple of times a year and I've been promising myself one for ages but haven't got round to it so far. The salon she goes to is 75 miles away but it's really good and they also do waxing so I plan to ask if I can have both done the same day.

That sounds like a great idea. My wife is not the kind of person that likes 'offline' shopping, it gets too busy in the city near us. But online shopping together could be fun.
She already does my manicure, so that's nice 🙂
Thank you for the sharing. I'm also in my 30s and after reading all the comments here, somehow I feel regret taking things too fast.
About the clothes, in my (subjective) opinion, I think you should buy your own clothes, by yourself or buy with your wife. I think the fabric of women's clothes might be prone to damage and with our body type, we might damage our wife's favorite blouse or stockings.

I like that idea. My wife prefers that I wear her cloths though, at least until she's comfortable with the idea. So I will respect that, but I am looking forward to buying my own cloths and cultivating my style further.
@annabeth wow if she's specifically asked that, then I think it's okay. I once asked my wife if I can wear her T-shirt (i was joking at that time), she casually said that the shirt would be overstretched. I instantly felt regret asking that haha
My wife has comandeered a few of my things over tume. I would fund one of my bra nad panties sets in her lingerie drawer or my dress on her side of the closet, so I just barrow it back and nothing is ever said. Recently I bought myself a new white, lace dress and she liked so much she barrowed to wear to dinner at the resort where we were staying. I go to wear it the next night in our room, but not to dinner.
