This is more out of curiosity as many of us have gotten into crossdressing on our own and have come out to our spouses/significant others. But what I am curious about is has any of you been approached by your SO/spouse and brought up the concept of crossdressing? Did they start off the interest as a way of exploring this concept with you? Did they express the desire to try something new with you just for fun?
Not exactly, but my wife did dress me up shortly after we were married to show me how (miserable) it was to wear a dress and pantyhose on a hot day. She could tell I wasn't miserable and that dressing had a big impact on me. She's very open minded and never had a problem with me dressing. I'm leaving out a whole lot of the story but now we've been married 28 years and we go out together monthly with me dressed a have wonderful time doing so.
Lois. A GF from my university days. Lois was, how shall I say this....a get your freak on adventurer. Most of what she wanted was unprintable. However, she 'convinced' me to wear some of her lingerie during our frequent bedroom romps. That was pretty much the only good thing about our short-lived romance. Everything else about her was high-maintenance and annoying.

@teralinajohnson interested in the answers so following , great topic for me nope never even crossed my mind before I discovered this . Never really even thought about my hubby wearing women's clothing- can you imagine the shock when it was discovered...🫣
@teralinajohnson My current wife and I were dating. I had not come out to her about crossdressing. She told me she had been wondering what I would look like wearing lipstick. I played it cool and said Id be willing to try. In time this lead to me 100% coming out to her.

Nope, while she never instigated it, she also never was against it when I played with it. It started out mostly as bedroom games, but has progressed.
Many moons ago, when my wife and I were still teenagers, my wife (girlfriend as she was then) took her stocking off and out them on me. I had secretly crossdressed for years before this, but I never suggested it. Of course I didn't object. She, how can I say this politely.... She saw the effect it erm... had on me.... and liked it. Later, a basque came into play. This didn't become a regular thing, but it did happen again and again. Ultimately, some years down the line it led to a full on fetish thing that we both seriously enjoyed.... Until something happened and in an instant, she went 180 and went totally, and I mean totally against it. It really did happen in an instant.... It took many years for her to come around to me crossdressing around her.

@ellie56 It took over a decade, and about another 20 to get to where I am now! There are still things she hung up on. I can's paint my nails or use false ones. I can't have a name. I can't get me ears pierced for a second time, and I can't wear wigs. Other than that, I'm free to be me as much as I like. It's a small price to pay.
