Posting on here has given me the confidence to take the next steps in developing my feminine look, having a proper makeover as I would like to see what I look like with my make-up done properly and have some proper photos done etc.. Therefore I am reaching out to get recommendations for crossdressing/makeover services in the UK. Looking for anywhere within easy reach of Manchester but I am willing to travel a bit too. Look forward to your replies/
To start you off, check out the Wowgals website. They're in Manchester; they're not the cheapest service going but at least they're local to you!
I'll see what else I can unearth ... how far are you willing to travel, and are you just looking for a makeup and go or a full photoshoot?

Rachael Dutton (easily found with a Google search) in Manchester also offers a CD/TG makeover and photoshoot service.
@lizzy89 Hey Lizzy. I'm down in South East London and have twice been to Boys Will Be Girls in inner London. I've got some pics in my photos sections. Bit far for you but these visits were life-changing for me so I highly recommend the experience. Quite a few of the girls here have been to Tracey at Femme Side Studios in Leicester and they all speak very highly of the service. Plenty of gorgeous pics around to confirm this. Also somewhere there's a list of suitable places. One of the team will advise you. I do hope you get something sorted. It's just wonderful.

The problem is that at the moment there isn't a comprehensive list of suitable places on the site. Our newly-recruited 'Local Places' team are working hard to remedy this, but it's a real labour of love and will take time. The details for each place have to be painstakingly input by hand before they show up on the map, or can be searched for through the database.
I'm trying to maintain a register of UK makeover services that I'll ultimately be able to pass across to the team - but at the moment if you go to our Local Places section and zoom in on Manchester, all the map shows are branches of Marks and Spencer!
As I say though, plans are afoot ... and ultimately this part of the site is going to be a really valuable resource.

- @chrisfp99 just been looking at the photos and boys will be girls is maybe one to consider if I fancy a weekend away in the capital. Leicester might be doable as a day trip from home though.
As others have said I can highly recommend Tracey at Femmeside Studio just outside Leicester. I will guarantee that you WILL not be disappointed after your visit

As far as I know Juliette is still running Sophie's Dressing service down in Bath. I know its 30 years ago, but I did two makeovers/overnight stays with her and had a fabulous time
Nostalgia time.... I also went to "Girls Like uS" in London and another service based near the Tower of London. So long ago I cant remember the name of the place or the lovely lady who ran it. There's a few photos of my time at these establishments in my "publics" here on CDH
Oh and also some of us more "mature" types can probably remember "Transformations" with the shop near Euston station and their shop up in Manchester. I had an overnight there back in the 90's and had the misfortune of having my purse with lots of "quids" in it stolen from right under my nose
I've long mused about how the UK seems to have more dressing services per capita than any other country on this "mortal coil".
I only know of about 3 or 4 here in Oz and there's 27 million of us.

I think you might be right about Boys will be Girls. If only cos I think I remember Cindy as the person running it. It was based in a apartment on a side street, may have been two stories??? She took me clubbing and I did not know whether to be scared or flattered by some of the looks I got from a few men.
