Good morning ladies. I was wondering if any of you seasoned corset wearers could help a girl out. I recently purchased my first corset. It is an underbust corset with a hook and eye design. It really does do wonders for my figure and I plan to wear it mostly under my dresses. One thing that they recommended was wearing something underneath. It’s mostly latex and does get quite warm, but well worth the sacrifice when I see how it improves my breasts, hips and even buttocks. Not to mention the wonderful back support it gives me. Since it’s underbust, I wear a bra with it and usually wear high waisted control top pantyhose underneath the bottom half. What about the top half? A cami?
@florapgh Some girls wear camis but you can also buy purpose-made corset liners.
I've just checked on Amazon; annoyingly, they only sell them in beige or black, only in the larger sizes and only in packs of three 🙁

@ellyd22 butting in as I always do. Bought my corset liner on “ Orchard Corsets”. Must have to keep the corset from getting body soil. Mine is beige, who care what color, it’s under the corset. They sell corsets in all colors to show off. Orchard also sellscustom length laces. I bought mine in ribbon rather than paracord . The ribbon is as strong as the cord. Happy lacing!

I've worn them straight on my skin, with a suspender belt, with high-waisted pantyhose, and even just on the outside in full view. Mine are mesh and steel boned, so while not hot, they do dig into the skin. It's always more comfortable with something underneath, but sometimes needs must and I've yet to fail to recover from it.
That said, try all variations and see what you like...and what you can live with. 😉
So, "this gal" wears a corset?! Now I know how Melodee looks so trim at in-person gatherings! I sometimes wear a tummy tamer. Hook and eye fasteners, metal bones, for tight delight. When Connie sees Melodee this Saturday at the gala, I'll knowingly smile at her so-fem look, exchange hugs and keep her corsets non-secret to myself.

Anything absorbent, such as a cotton or linen T-shirt would work, if the corset wasn't visible.
@harriette Exactly my thoughts too Harriette. I will sometimes wear a one size too small cotton tank style T-shirt that fits tight against my skin if I need something to stop chafing. Otherwise I can get a rug burn or rash with my tighter garments. I don't wear corsets but sometimes do wear tight dresses or costumes and found this method helpful. Marg
Me personally normally I just wear my corset on my bare skin but I have on several occasions wormer it over top of a blouse typically it's a underboss corset with like a button-down blouse or top other than that I don't really put anything under my corset
