@jancardi

An interesting question Jan, and probably something many of have done to a greater or lesser extent.

I have definitely done it - On one occasion in Glasgow, I wore a pair of tight fit ladies jeans, a ladies black polo neck jumper, ladies denim jacket, and small hoop earrings.  The rest of me was en homme.. so no makeup or wig, no bra or forms, and my shoes were my drab ones.... NO-ONE took any notice, or said a word - even walking through a busy city centre and going for a bite to eat in a busy bar.   I think I might even have worn lipstick, and probs had my nails painted too - I can't quite remember.  I probably looked a bit "alternative" but not out rightly CDing, so probs a bit androgynous.

So yes, it is a good way to experiment and build up confidence.  Just keep adding more to your ensemble until you are full en-femme.  There is nothing like the full en-femme experience out in public, though it does take a bit of nerve and building up to it, and pick a safe location, preferably in daylight too.  (Not sure I'd do the same late at night...)

Enjoy what you do and keep doing what you enjoy!

Jen x

@jancardi So you've discovered (as have all of us who venture out) that there's no monsters or fashion police out there-well done! Keep up the good work! 😍

Partial crossdressing? Well, I haven't heard it described that way before, but it seems descriptive / accurate enough.

Many CDs don't fully dress en femme in public, including me. Although I always wear 100% women's clothes all of the time in public, I present myself as androgynously as I can, with a few flourishes here and there to make me more interesting.

Works for me, try it yourself.

never heard of that.

its all the way or no way for me. people would look at you and think you don't know which way you're going. all the way they find you interesting and give you complements. if anyone wants to shake your hand, especially a woman. just open your arm and say i hug. it works every time. women love hugs. it even works on some men.

@prettytoes Yeah, I keep the two 100% separate; it's how I'm wired... 😕

@kendra2024

As you say, Kendra (and for Rachel too) , it's how you are wired. But I'm seeing this from a different perspective.

These days I'm just happy to blend the two aspects on a daily basis. I totally understand that many like to separate their male and female aspects, but by doing it my way, I'm in touch with what I think is a more real me on a 24 / 7 basis. Although I'm not out as a crossdresser, there's always lots of bits in my everyday life. From some of the comments on this thread, people might think I am. But I'm not.

It's how I seem to be wired right now.

Partial crossdressing?  Sure.  You can go with that.  What you described isn't full glam, but it's still a feminine look.

Wear what makes you feel good about yourself.  Be happy.  After a while, you may discover that the way you feel about yourself becomes more important than your outfit.  When your feminine energy transcends the clothes you are wearing.  THAT is an amazing feeling.

Partial crossdressing can come in many forms I believe. What you are describing seems pretty much full on to me. I always wear garments that come from the ladies department of stores, however unless you looked at the labels you would not know. All my workout clothes are womens, all my jeans are womens, most of the tops I wear are androgynous tshirts. I say do what is in your comfort zone and makes you happy.

@ashleigh I dress in the same way 100% of the time. I would rather dress androgynously in public than dress only en femme at home.

Different styles and needs, but it works (so far) for me and (mostly) for my wife. She has only given me a thumbs down once, so... 🥰

By your description you are more than partially dressed Jan, going the whole hog is what you describe and I hope the trips went well for you.

I do. I dress anywhere from 100% en homme to 100% en femme, and everything inbetween.  Mostly I dress en homme with a few femme touches like nail polish and/or lipstick, but sometimes I will vwear a skirt in male mode, other times undredressed with forms. It just depends on how I feel.

Each person practices what is best for them. It's all a matter of taste and feelings. Sometimes there are more powerful forces that one cannot resist. I think that in the end it all comes down to enjoying what you do and, consequently, enjoying your life.

I have realized that it is up to you to live your life the way you decide and not the way others think you should live it. So enjoy what you do! Always!

I have thought of doing the same. Wearing Women's pants, top, pantyhose and ballet flats out and seeing if I get noticed

I'm an all or nothing Girl under most circumstances.   When circumstances don't permit, I still like to do something, however small, to stay connected to my femininity.
