I would love to live full time as Joanna Knight and what to know I go about doing so. Can any of you other ladies tell me?
I dress most time but could easily and would love to be full time. I still do things in my male mode that prevents that. If not for those, I would really have no reason to change over to male mode. I think a lot depends on your current life and whether or not being full time is practical or possible. You wou9ld have to evaluate and decided for yourself.
Long ago a therapist that I was going to would ask me "what does that look like?" when I would talk about an idea that I had. So that is where I am right now. It's just an idea, I am thinking about living full time as Kay when I retire. That would probably be in 5 years. I have a lot of time to think about this and I am trying to define and figure out how it will look. I am painting this picture in my mind, a little bit each day. Here is a rough picture right now. I would not use hormones or have surgery. I do take some herbals and would plan on continuing that. I would grow out my hair. Possibly have laser to my beard and body hair. Maybe something to plump my thin lips. I am more of a blue jeans with t-shirt or sweatshirt girl. So dresses would be special occasion. I would have my nails done. Hopefully, by that time, my makeup skills would be perfected. I would like to change my voice with a voice coach. I would have to come out to all the family and I hope that goes well. I plan to work part-time during retirement and would need a job with a safe environment that does not discriminate. I am starting to look at women's mannerisms and would learn to walk, sit and have the body language of a female. I would have to go to the DMV and get a new photo on my drivers license. I know it would still say M under gender, but I can live with that.
Each day I think about this and try to paint the details in this picture.
The longest I have lived 24/7 was 3 nights and 2 full days, when I had a weekend away from home about 8 years ago.
Tbh it was amazing. I was very inexperienced but disembarked a ferry, got petrol, went to a busy ladies toilet, booked into a hotel, went shopping, drove to another city and went out with friends to a restaurant and a few clubs as Penny.
The only drawback was needing to shave twice a day as I like my face to be really smooth.
Hi Joanna. I can under stand the desire to go 24/7' some times the time I have, all night sleeping plus 2 or 3 hours most days is not near enough for me either. I checked your profile and see that your SO doesn't know. Unless you intend to end this relationship you need to tell her of your CD desires.
I might also suggest get a weekend to go to another city to just be Joanna full time for a couple 3 days. I kind of dream of the same thing. Financially right now that is difficult. As is often said here go slow, take baby steps.
A therapist might also help. I know I need to go back to one, I am somewhat depressed, I want to my CD activity to go faster, longer and become more ' passing ' . I also want to share it with a friend, weather a GG' GM, or another CD.
Sandy Jayson,
I am not married at this time ! I was married two times in the past . My first wife and I didn't hide anything from each other its sad to say that her and our 3 kids where killed by a drink driver. My second wife lift me because she didn't like the kind of work I was doing. I was working with in meets at the time.
I have been living 24/7 since 5 years ago. The first few months was tough in adjusting to the new persona, almost gave up if not for my transgender friend. As I need to return to Singapore every 3 months, getting through both immigrations can be a challenge.
Michelle Chong,
Did you get make up your mind and start living full time or was there legal this you had to do first? I want to live full time femme but don't know what I have to do to do so! Can you please tell ?
this topic strikes a chord with me. As I live full time as a transgender woman now since 2019, It is safe to say that in my town, the people I associate with are generally very accepting. I am welcomed as a transgender woman, and I get many engaged and curious people inquiring about my change and point of view. I get frequent hugs from hot Cis-women and love the attention when I post a picture.
YES--We'd all like to know how to continue to make a living-
