Dear ‘ol’ Ms. Catherine Louise Ryan can hardly believe her luck. Two lovely dressing sessions within a week. The only drawback being they were both at home, so no time to use any make up. Hence the mask in all the photos
The first was last Wednesday, when my beloved was out all day getting her car serviced. An all day job that took her shopping and to the movies. Hey.. I was not at all fussed by what she did, I had all day.
Number two session was still happening as I wrote this: I sat fully dressed in lovely lacy lingerie by Wacoal and Kiss Me Deadly and my first “Mother of The Bride outfit from back in 2014. It always was a loose fit and with the extra bit of “pud” on my middle. It’s lovely to not have to think about shapewear. With the exception of course of my “Full Cup” breast forms. (Which given my bra is full cup… just as well.) The tug of the straps and the “hug” of the band…quickly… the smelling salts… this girl is about to “swwwooonnn.”
Black stockings and low suede heels complete the picture.
I JUST HAD To buy the Wacoal bra and panty set. The “Deep pink” colour was described as the exact Christian names of my beloved!! The style name “fits” too “Retro Chic”. Yep… I’m a bit “retro” and I do like to think at times I’m “chic” They came all the way from Her Room in the US. Great service and they deserve our communities support.
In short…. I feel a) just plain blooming fantastic and b) so “natural” dressed like I am. Back to that lovely feeling of “I belong like this.” I should dress this way all the time.” But sadly, my home situation does not allow the above to occur.
Back to my first session and my “Domesti(caty)ed day.
I did a week’s worth of Caty’s laundry and instead of having to cart it down to my storage unit to dry, I was able to put it all out on the line.
From there it was a photo session. I wore my “Casual to the shops” cooking/washing outfit, blue skirt, and lighter tops. A CD friend said over coffee I should try to go lighter with my skirts, so various combos with that skirt and a “mid tone check skirt.” My extra “pud” is really on show in these shots, and I’ll have to try to do more about it.
I am pleased with the way the cowl neck and knitted cable top looked in the shots. The main reason I’ve never worn them is I get make-up everywhere…
The next “domestic(cate) task was to cook a chicken casserole… laundry and cooking, all whilst in Caty mode was very special.
Whilst cooking I took myself to “Yesteryear.” A cassette tape of Linda Ronstadt with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, What’s New. Back in my work travelling days, I played the above songs whilst getting into Caty mode. You should check it out! Did I mention the costumes are stunning….
Thence on to my all-time favorite cream brush train evening gown. The “pud” meant it would not fit me anymore…. So, I used my Gossard strapless bustier underneath. Yay it still fits…..
Did some more of Caty’s lingerie laundry, but a very damp and cloudy day means it’s still quite damp and needed to go into the “drying cupboard”. Aka the wardrobe in my bedroom…
Then into the “Enchanted Emerald Forest,” Mother of the Bride outfit.
It’s always been a loose fit, so no shapewear required. Made by a dressmaker with a business right up on the NSW north Coast near the Qld border. Her website is worth a look… Bit “hippy,” but hey, I still love this outfit on me.
Both outfits take me back to the Seahorse Ball in Sydney back in 2014, because they are what I wore.
Now I sit back in male mode after four lovely hours of Caty time, and about to get into the shower. Caty’s number 1 rule. Keep in mind the time I think “The Boss” will be home, and then knock off an hour. Bit hard to get “sprung” that way…
Happy dressing and all comments on the photos welcomed.
