Up here in the ‘frozen tundra’ a person has a beach all to him or her self once September is done. The reason being that even if the temp is warm enough, the water is too cold. So I’ve been going to the beach in October anyway, not to swim but to keep my tan from fading. I can’t let my tan fade, since I’ll need to go to Hawaii late this month. I’ve heard horror stories about folks that have gone there without having a base tan first.
I understand that Hawaiians make a lot bigger deal out of Halloween than we do here on the mainland. I can hardly wait, since Halloween is my favorite holiday. BTW, are there any threads on this site devoted to Halloween?
