Hi Erica,

First I would stop worrying about the hospital staff, I am sure they have seen all before, besides they have a strict code of conduct and are extremely professional in all aspects of confidentiality when dealing with patients. Two,  you have more important priorities to attend too with your health rather than worry if your seen in panties.

I am sure your step daughter would be more concerned about your health than  you wearing  lingerie.
