It used to snow, when I was a kid – I recall one of the first times I drove, the snow was a foot deep, and my father was telling me how to start moving in 2nd, with plenty of gas to give more power to the front wheels.

But I don’t actually recall a white Christmas in the South of the UK ever, or when it last actually snowed and settled – 2005, perhaps?

A wet Christmas is more par for the course – and it fits the song…
