If you have the means, laser hair removal is fabulous.  I too had the itching, burning after effects of shaving.  Drove me bananas.  After just a few treatments (head to toe) 95%+ of the hair is gone.  One thing on laser, though, beware the package deals.  If your skin tone and hair color are in your favour, you may not need all that many and be better off doing pay-as-you-go.
