I normal use any ladies razors normally Gillette ones and yes your right about which way to shave, I start at the bottom of  my legs and shave upwards slowly and softly, once you get going doing that you get a idea of how to shave your legs, always make sure razor is free of hair by rinsing it when it gets blocked and when you’ve finished i usually shower then let my legs dry on there own then moisturise a couple of times. This has always given me silky smooth legs.
