Hi Stephanie

I started with foundation, mascara and lipstick.

It took a good while to learn how to get a good coverage with the foundation, to use brushes to keep it even and so on.

The mascara – you’d think that would be easy, but getting the right amount of product on the applicator so you don’t end up with clumps, and getting the bottom lashes coated as well as the top lashes gave me a few hours of entertainment!

Then lips.

Where to start?

So many techniques, but developing a steady hand and a good eye for a symmetrical shape, with even coverage and sharp smudge free lines was a challenge for me!

I eventually found that drawing the shape with a lip pencil first helped tremendously – but it took a while to find a good pencil for me.

Then you’ll want to do eyeliner and shadow – techniques like a crease and smoky eye, to get some primer under the foundation to lessen the blemishes, the black arts of contouring and so on…

But face, lips and eyes are where I started – KISS!

💋

Love Laura
