The NHS is another great English invention! And no doubt an inspiration to our Tommy Douglas here in Canada who championed our own publicly funded healthcare system.
A few years ago, we had a national pole asking who was the most influential Canadian ever and he was overwhelmingly voted to the #1 spot and well ahead of any hockey player!
I’m getting all choked up just thinking about it!
Incidentally, Tommy Douglas is actor Keifer Sutherland’s grandfather!
