Barb Wire, I like Canada’s way of thinking on the hate crimes part. It really varies here in the states. A crossdresser or transgendered person is not “protected” in every state. I live in a rural town outside of Seattle, and if I walk down the streets of Seattle, or even my small town, fully dressed (I’m not passable) no one, including the police will bother me, if I do the same in most of the small towns in Washington State, I might get some looks, but that’s about it. However I know in the more conservative states (outside of the large cities), it’s not the same, I love my Canada neighbors, and you have ideas and thoughts I am envious of, the winters, not so much :-). I am like some others on here, I just want to be a pretty girl and go about my life. Sometimes, for every step forward in America, we take two steps backwards.
