Not to be argumentative, but art itself is a bit of a downer. Otherwise it ends up being… well, pop music. And seriously, can we just end pop music?? XD
I’m simply giving voice here to perfectly valid feelings that are common to the community from my understanding, and certainly feelings that are valid to me. Yes, there’s a darker side to them. And yes, there are exceptions to the general rule. But does that make the feelings invalid?
For the record, I’ve been called out in this community (and rightly so) for honestly criticizing popular songs that the community as a whole has latched onto. So I get it. Be your own person. Have your own voice. But don’t let that voice drown out the voice of others who have every bit as much to say as you do.
