Scale models are fun, I build and paint a lot of those for war gaming. I have always wondered do you have to paint the little trains and building yourself like I do for the war gaming miniatures or do they come prebuilt and painted? Also have you looked into 3D printers at all yet? I know they have become really popular with wargamers and I could see them being useful for other scale modelers too.
What is the difference between HO and N size? Like the miniatures and buildings with build, paint and play with are 28MM scale. I didn’t know if trains scales out the same way.
