In our house my Dad was pretty against me being anywhere near anything girly or playing with any girly toys. It wasn’t a thing that was allowed. I remember one of my cousins gave me an old Lurky stuffy she had on her bed that I fell in love with. I was like 6 or 7 or so I took it around all over for a couple of weeks, my Dad was fine with it, until he found out it was a character from Rainbow Brite, then it had to go.
