Your update plan on the “other” place sounds like a win to me.
Just saying you can pass at will is going to make some completely lose their minds.
One social site I was on several years ago I had some trans people bashing me for being fat and not looking trans enough.
I mentioned it was not a competition and my goal was to not look trans but like a cis female.
That caused kind of a stir and my male friends there took my side
