Think of labels as descriptors or shorthand.
If I wanted to tell someone what my situation is, I could say:
I am an amalgam of male and female perspectives, actions, energies and likes/dislikes even though I present as female nearly all of the time. I do not feel that I was born in the wrong body and have essentially no dysphoria. (42 words)
Or, I could say:
I identify as transgender and non-binary. (6 words)
The latter doesn’t give the full meaning and its accompanying subtleties, but it is close enough for most purposes.
