Oh Gosh how I remember those days when shops were closed on a Sunday. Church on a Sunday morning and seeing the pretty dresses worn by the girls. I think I had a weekly wish list!

For me the sixties/seventies was a time of window shopping and going into the clothes stores with my mother and sisters watching in envy as my sisters got the dresses I wanted so badly. The mail order catalogues  were well thumbed through the ladies sections and when I finally had some spare cash I made some discreet purchases.

Although the internet has expanded the retail opportunities there is nothing better than going into a store to see and feel the clothes and, as I can now, try them on before buying.
