In some respects the ‘Rod in the hand’ is a bit of an annoyance in girl mode…..

With me I haven’t changed an awful lot although there are differences, of course there are. Food shopping is still a chore, ask many women. However in clothes shopping it is different. MM was a quick dash in and get what I need there was little want. I tended to be neat anyway with everything in order and hung in the wardrobe, which was enough clothes for immediate eventualities.  In FM it is sooo different, clothes shopping is a term used by women as a social thing for time out to chat, browse and try on, buying is only an option. Food shopping can be brightened by wandering off into the clothes section just to check if something new has come in since the last visit or to see if that item you saw last week is on the sale rail. Buying clothes is based on need for underwear and disposables. With outerwear and shoes it’s a balance against need and want. Do I need that dress – ‘No’, do I want it ‘Yes’ So one right means it should be bought hence a full wardrobe of clothes, some of which may not have been worn but are classed as essential as you never know. Fashion has become very important now.

I have always washed and ironed but take greater care with the wash cycles and iron temperatures now. I have more photos now and always pick the best ones to save, in MM it mattered not. In FM I am very conscious of my looks and mirror checks are mandatory. I take care of my nails, am particular what scents I use and sit to pee.

I do tend to drive with more awareness so not to get tickets but these days women drive all sorts of vehicles so what I have is fine. I do find that in FM I get given precedence at junctions.

These are my observations.
