In high school, I went on a snow trip up to my girlfriends cabin with her family for the weekend. I went totally unprepared for the cold (nor experienced) and was freezing my ass off in jeans. My girlfriend said, here, put these on, it’ll help keep you warm, and handed me an extra pair of hose.

By golly, with the compression, it felt like my legs were ready for anything, and sure it enough, darn things totally kept me warm under my jeans.
