It is nice to see a profile picture to connect with the author. It is for the individual to decide what they want to portray as some have reasons to use an avatar or nothing at all. Sometimes it is nice to see how someone has developed over a period of time or the joy of a new look. The beauty is that we can change it daily or never and no one minds.
