I have never been overly hairy but unfortunately (or actually fortunately as it turned out) I had Alopecia 30 years ago. All the body hair from my neck down fell out and never grew back. My scalp hair grew back okay while my facial hair grew back only sparsely, and turned white. So I am now able to shave my face & go out without foundation if I want.
