It’s so long ago, circa 40 years, so it’s hard to pin down just one purchase.But it would have been a bra and pants set from either a “value” chain store like K Mart or a small independent lingerie shop. I also remember buying an open bottom girdle from a Woolworths store in Sydney.
I used to do work interstate travel, so I would buy the above before I left and dump it before I got home. “My how times have changed”
Back then, quite a lot of lingerie was made here in Australia and for the sentiment of it, I still have two bras than were made here. A white “Hickory” in 16B, which of course does not fit me anymore and a “Warner’s Richness” in 16D, which would fit with an extender, but hey I have so many more lovely younger bras, why bother with the “oldies”
These days I buy what ever I want and keep 90% of it and have no qualms about doing so in person, (preferably en femme after a bra fitting)..

PS Back then and still now we had/have a bra brand, “Hestia”… Short for “Holds every size t…..t in Australia”.
